I was born on 30 May ... (never ask a woman how old she is...) in Rostock, and started taking studying when I was 5 years old at the municipal music school in Rostock (When I was 3 years old, my mom tryed it already...).

In 1978 was the première of my first composition (chamber music for two violins and piano).

From 1987 - 1994 I studied at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin, where I majored in classical piano with minor concentrations in composition/music theory and jazz-piano.

I graduated with diplomas in piano pedagogy and as a concert pianist.

After studying I stayed in Berlin. I’m self-employed (a freelancer) and play concerts, teach piano and music theory, work as a vocal coach and accompanist and help young people prepare for auditions and conservatory.
